another place

I've already confessed to not knowing why I feel like drawing certain images.  Today is another one of those images.  For some reason, I felt like drawing a bull-like creature.  Although he doesn't look very kid friendly, I was pretty pleased with the drawing.  Until I started coloring it.  I was rushing along adding all kinds of color and detail that by the time I finished, I had a pretty big mess.  I may try coloring him again later but since I did like the inked version I thought I'd share a look...

I departed from the way I normally do shadows and started inking them in.  I suppose I was a little inspired by Mike Mignola's art.  That guy is amazing.  A friend of mine is doing a Halloween poster in a similar style and that was all I could think about when I had a few minutes to draw.
